TINA MALI - BEAUTY PORTRAIT
What is the difference between a portrait and a beauty portrait? A beauty portrait is slightly more retouched than a portrait. In a portrait we want it to look as natural as possible when we retouch. We don't want to lose the models qualities and features such as scars, freckles, and moles. But things like spots, redness of the skin or other non-permanent features we can clean up and remove.
A beauty portrait requires a lot more attention to the skin. Often the skin needs to look perfect and smooth but without losing its texture. It is a task that takes time because there is no shortcut for this. Often you use dodging and burning in photoshop for skin retouching or the frequency separation technique.
